The Mississippi Housing Institute (MHI) is the education branch that is the approved education provider for the Mississippi State Board of Contractors. Membership provides access to a variety of continuing education opportunities, seminars and certification programs that help members maintain a competitive edge and that essential to new licensure standards.

Previous courses include OSHA certification, first aid and safety in addition to marketing and social media. The association is constantly considering new partnerships to expand these opportunities.

Selected courses are also approved by the Mississippi Real Estate Commission and meet licensure requirements.

Through a partnership with the Oregon Home Builders Association, builders in Mississippi are able to access online continued education courses approved by the Mississippi State Board of Contractors.  The courses are broken into short segments for easy viewing and cover a variety of topics including safety, business management, and more. Only a few courses require a test, but all courses include a certificate.

Members of the Home Builders Association of Mississippi receive a discount on these courses, but they are available to the public. CLICK HERE FOR COURSES
